Based on Asthanga Vinyasa, a yoga discipline developed by Krishnamacharya and Pattabhi Jois in India, it consists of a dynamic style, thought to build up strength, flexibility, stamina, internal heat and focusing and balance. Vinyasa means: to place in a special way. Usually it is used to indicate the union between movement and breath. Power yoga took inspiration from the fluid and dynamic poses of Asthanga Vinyasa yoga, connected with the breath, but it transpires from the rigid sequences defined there, setting a peculiar class every time with a specific aim and based on the students.
The course is focused on:
Unlike the Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga focuses on the bodywork, with poses which improve strength, dynamic movements, all using a conscious connection between breath and movements. There is no a coded series of motions, each lesson is focused on a particular aspect.
Increases physical and mental strength acting on the muscular tone, flexibility, stamina, concentration and willpower.
