What is traditional Thai massage?

Very ancient massage technique from Thailand, created by Shivago Kumar Baj, doctor and friend of Siddharta Gautama, Buddha. It is called Nuad Phaen Borarn, "ancient massage" and was influenced by the Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine. It was practiced and taught mainly in the temples, until it was spread and became famous. It considers the existence of energy lines, called sen, and acupressure points. Through stretching, pressure, twists, lengthenings, it balances body energy to generate a pervasive psychophysical well-being.

I practice the northern style that I have learnt in Chiang Mai, Thailand, at ITM school. It is based on stretching and lengthenings equal to yoga positions (therefore, it is also called yoga for lazy people or passive yoga).
